In case you missed it, Leo appeared on WGN Midday News – Focus on Family segment, to share his recommendation on 5 study tips to help students prepare for midterms.  For more information, you can watch his WGN interview or we have the tips posted right here on our website. And for your convenience, here’s a quick run down of what Leo recommends:

  1. Be Efficient!  Use homework and previous tests to identify where you should focus your time and effort.
  2. Time Management:  Don’t cram!  Set up a study schedule in advance, and include scheduled breaks.
  3. Review Packets:  Use them to study, but be ready for the test to cover items NOT included in the packets.
  4. Reduce Test-taking Anxiety: Take a practice test un-timed, and then work your way up to taking timed practice tests.
  5. Practice, Practice, Practice:  Complete problems from your textbook that were not originally assigned, and ask your teacher for practice problem worksheets.

Leo has found these tips to be highly effective with the 100′s of students he has tutored over the years. So good luck and go get prepared!
